Head Injury Association (HIA) is a not-for-profit organization committed to increasing public awareness of the effects of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). HIA’s mission is to maximize potential among survivors of TBI and individuals with IDD by providing residential and community-based programs to help them achieve four (4) valued outcomes: Individualization, Independence, Integration, and Productivity. We strive, by political and educational means, to ensure that all individuals served by Head Injury Association receive the necessary medical, rehabilitation, vocational and recreational supports available and are able to live with dignity in a comfortable and accessible environment within their community.
